What are mentions?
The mentions feature allows you to draw team members' attention to important questions or quickly transfer conversations for collaboration. It's a great tool if you need to:
- seek advice on a complex issue;
- point out important information for another operator or employee from another department;
- draw attention to key data in a conversation;
- leave a comment on the conversation processing.
How to use mentions
- Create a note in the conversation.
- Enter the @ symbol to call a drop-down list of employees. You can select a team member from the list or start typing the name manually (search is possible by both internal and external names):
- Select the desired team member and they will receive a mention notification.
Important: notes can be left in any conversation and won't be displayed on the client side.
Where do I find my mentions?
- All mentions addressed to you will be displayed in a separate conversation channel with the @ sign, which is located at the top of the channel list.
- This will help you quickly find the conversations that require your attention first.
Mention notifications
Mentioned team members are automatically notified of a new mention. Notifications are enabled by default for everyone.
To turn off notifications
- Go to "Personal account settings"
- Or in the "Team members" section, turn off notifications for specific employees.
